Amilla Maldives is approximately 35 minutes by seaplane from Velana International Airport, with guests assisted by the resorts airport team and provided access to the Amilla Seaplane Lounge before their onward journey to the island.

The property is located in North of Maldives approximately 125km away from Velana International Airport and can be reached via Seaplane transfer or Domestic transfer with speedboat depending on arrival and departure international flight.
Shared seaplane transfers are arranged through a third-party operator and involve sharing the flight with other guests. These transfers are scheduled during daylight hours as per regulationsby the Maldives Aviation Authority. To ensure a smooth transfer, your international flight should arrive in Male before 3:30 PM. If your departure flight from Male is before 9:00 AM, you may need to depart from the resort the night before. The resort is approximately a 30-minute seaplane ride away from Velana International Airport.
Keep in mind that the airline imposes luggage restrictions of 30 kg for checked baggage and 5 kg for carry-on baggage at no extra cost. Additional weight will incur a charge of USD 5.00 per kg plus taxes, payable at the seaplane check-in counter. For shared seaplane transfers, theres a minimum 2-hour waiting period at the terminal after check-in.
Domestic flight transfer takes 20 minutes from Velana International Airport to Dharavandhoo Airport followed by a 10-minute speedboat transfer to the resort. Each guest (excluding infants) is allowed 20 kg total luggage. Any excess baggage is charged a cost of USD 3.00 + taxes per kg and can be paid directly at flight check-in counter. Shared domestic flight transfers are arranged based on the schedule flights for the day and are subject to availability.
Please share your flight details with the property at least 5 days before your arrival to secure your seat(s) for the transfer.
